February Update

The Community Playground project is really starting to pick up steam. We’ve heard from so many wonderful neighbors who are supportive of the project, and we appreciate the kind words, the encouragement, and the willingness to dive in to help the children of Land O’ Lakes!

We were very excited to see that our neighbors in Boulder Junction also have a new community playground project starting. Check out their project at www.boulderatplay.com. If you look through their website or Facebook page, you’ll see all the excitement we’re trying to build here echoed. You’ll also see they are ahead of us in terms of communication. But we’re trying to change that. In the next few months, you should expect to see some new things from us, both here and on our Facebook page.

First, we’re finally ready to send out our first big press release about the project. Look for it in your local media very soon.

Second, we’ll be getting a social media reboot. We are signing a contract to have a new website created, and the Facebook page will be getting a refresh, too. As we head into the start of the build, you should expect to see lots more plans, photographs, and updates about fundraisers and other activities (and a lot less of these boring words!).

We are so grateful for the support we have received to date. We recognize that not everyone agrees with us about the need for safe, accessible, outdoor play structures in Land O’ Lakes, but we truly believe the new playground will serve the needs of our community’s children of all ages. We deeply appreciate everyone who supports our mission.
